The longest beam bridge in India so far; inaugurated recently on 27th may 2017 by Prime Minster of India Sri Narendra Modi is 9.15km in length across Lohit river , a tributary Bhrahmaputra and connecting the south of Dhola village in Assam to the north of Sadiya in Arunachal Pradesh. It makes it possible the rapid movement of India's defence assets for the mind following incursions by the Chinese Army .The bridge is designed to withstand a weight of 60 tonne tanks such as Indian Army's Arjun. Since the Sino-Indian war China has disputed India's claim to some parts of Arunachal Pradesh ,making the bride politically and militarily an important asset    The fall outs of having such a bridge is that less than 2000 people rendered jobless over there in the name of ferry and boats man.The people who became jobless are likely remote and not even have seen the bridge ,so it would be a crushing one for them. The bridge connects upper Assam to eastern Arunachal Pr...

My invgn1: Kerala Roads Private Limited(KRPL)

! Road Safety Vision Kerala ! Among Indian states, Kerala had recorded higher road accident rate for the past five decades. Kerala had registered 1528 road accidents in 1960 which nearly doubled to 2871 in 1965. Further it almost doubled to 5639 accidents in 1975. This increasing trend continued till 1995 when it reached a staggering figure of 36,086 accidents. The State had recorded an all-time high of 41,678 accidents and 51,225 injuries in 2005. However, the fatalities remained at a lower figure of 3200 persons in 2005. Until 2005, the number of accidents per thousand vehicles in the State remained as one of the highest compared to the National average. Government of Kerala was deeply concerned over this increasing trend of accidents and the casualties. The formation of Kerala Road Safety Authority (KRSA) in 2007 was an important step in this direction. Since then, the State Government took several initiatives in the areas of road development,...

Cast : an eligibility?

Image
Cast reservation in entrance Exams U sually it is justified enough to have some reservations for a section in the society that seems to be less in number or poor or under developed etc .In many private companies and government sectors we have travel reservations for people who may be either poor and that sort or a member of the core team or a soldier etc. There might be reservations for specially able people (handicap)  ,These are all justified under humanity. Giving a special reservation because this guy was born in a special cast seems strange for at least some people. I never think cast is a way of assessment of anyone's economy .Being in a cast usually said to be underdeveloped should not be an eligibility for any reservations .May be some are poor but as the days pass by things change those earlier considered to be poor becomes rich and vice versa .Reservations should be given ...
