My journey in Netravaty Express General Coach

My journey in the Netravaty express (or Gorakpur express or trivandrum - lokamanyatilak express) was like trapped in a noisome garbage crater. I noticed cooked stale chappies and some sort of curry lying on the floor and emitting some foul smell along with packet covers of Cheetos ,lays etc. Getting inside was like getting into a forest with packet covers on floor instead of leaves. It was so irksome to be there for more than half an hour.
In all other countries except here have a clean and safe railway system with automatic closed doors and screens which shows ads and the destinations .They have waste bins inside the train which is one reason for their cleanliness. Suppose we are going by a train over here and bought an 'upmavada' from train kitchen and we are left with the packet cover . Where shall we put it? Either dropping it down from the train and polluting the are outside the train around the track like as shown below

or dropping inside the train as in Netravathy .

Those shirts and bottles were left there

Who dares to wash his face here?

None  cares to take it along with him and drop it at the next station bin
It is said that the train would be cleaned after every trip but is worth it :). Releasing train toilet waste on to the railway track is another dirty aspect of Indian Railway. These are the areas we have to improve as a matter of both our culture into tourist promo and respect to each citizen

  •  Green toilet initiative of Indian railway is a forward step for cleanliness.
  •  Clean my coach app is another initiative of Indian Railway people should be made aware of these moves and made to promote them.

"Now you can literally ask the govt to clean up after you! In line with the Swacch Bharat mission, the railways launched mobile app called Clean My Coach for all long-distance trains in which you can ask for your coach or toilet to be cleaned by putting a request on the app. A senior railway official told a daily: "Central Railway has developed a good mobile app 'Clean My Coach'. All zonal railways should adopt and adapt it."
All passengers have to do is put in their mobile number and formally lodge a request. The service will be carried out while the train is running by the on-board housekeeping service. A website called cleanmycoach.com has also been set up."
One of my suggestion for clean train journey is to put waste bins inside each coach of the train so that passengers can drop their plastic cans and bottles in them after use
