BWF World Championship Final Match Review
It's disappointing for myself to have not watched the match live but I've see all the important movements as of now. The first and the last slices of the match has seen a score fight between both the players but both being really exhausted towards the end. It seems like PV Sindhu has made a miscalculation about where the shuttle cock would fall : as in inside the box or just out side : most of the time which even contributed scores for Nozomi Okuhara easily. She even missed a point by just not hitting the cock when it approached the boundary. Nozomi was a good fighter she knew exactly where the cock would fall. Her weakness seemed to be in giving the exact force to the cock. She missed the points most of the times with the cock not pushed to the opponents side. Both the players proved to be excellent when it comes to the amount of time they maintained the rally. Constant and fast opposition even in terrible shots was clearly visible throughout the match. There were long smashes which made the opponent guess the score prier in this match. The thrill of the match was when the players made the rally making the opponent run throughout the match. This is the reason why both of them got exhausted at the end. The scores with the first slice i.e, first match was 22- 20 for Sindhu vs Nozomi which says about the fight they had but when it comes to the second match, the score was 11-21 leaving Sindhu lose terribly. The match was still a nail biting fight but Sindhu's lost her hit with the amount of applied force to the cock as well as weakness in locating the position of the cock. The third match was an inch to inch fight scoring 21-18 where both the players were very much exhausted and excited. This match thus gives PV Sindhu the title of being the first women in scoring GOLD for BWF as an Indian.
